The one-time renewal process after five years still exists, even if no validity period is mentioned on a CEP 2.0. Therefore, a request for renewal should still be made about 4.5 years after the CEP was first issued. The renewal due date for certificates will be displayed in public certification database on edqm website from the implementation date of CEP 2.0 (1 September 2023). Depending upon the individual situation, either a revised CEP or a letter confirming the continued validity of the CEP will be issued after renewal.
